Hydrogeological exploration
Among the hydrogeological and ground water exploration services, Geomega provides complete exploration, permitting and supervising solutions for the exploration and production of shallow, medium and deep aquifers. Using our integrated exploration methodology we provide the following services:
- Preparation of complete water supply plans taking into account water management, water protection and water quality point of views
- Local and regional identification and evaluation of aquifers
- Construction of local, integrated hydrogeological-geophysical-tectonic models
- Evaluation of hydrogeological and borehole geophysical data, identification of aquifers, geological-geophysical support for test production
- Construction of high-resolution 3D numerical reservoir geological models (3D modelling) for fluid-flow simulations
- Preparation of 3D hydrogeological-geophysical-tectonic database for hydraulical, fluid-flow and heat transport modeling
We have a unique borehole and seismic database of Hungary (DIPEX), which makes groundwater explorations and evaluations in any part of Hungary very effective. The geological succession, flow rate and well log data within the database help to characterize and correlate the aquifer, while the fluid analysis and seismic data are used for the prediction of the water chemical parameters and clarification of the tectonic conditions of the aquifer, respectively. If necessary, 3D numerical geological models are constructed to support fluid flow simulations.
As the result of our integrated evaluation method, we determine – in agreement with the geological history of the area – the tectonic position, expected depth and yield potential as well as the sedimentological and temperature conditions of the potential aquifers. This knowledge significantly reduces the risk of not fulfilling the temperature, water chemical and flow rate requirements of the planned water use.
