Péter Dövényi, or Döfi as relatives and friends used to call him, was not only a highly qualified geophysicist but also a great musician. The talented violist of the band named Kalamajka was an internationally acknowledged geophysicist at Eötvös university. He was specialized in surface geophysics, geothermics and neotectonics. Many projects, publications and training of the new generation geophysicist can be related to him.

Dr. Ferenc Horváth †
1944-2018
Professor Horváth, or as many geophysicist knew him, Frank Horváth spent most of his time in Eötvös university and in Geomega Ltd. He was one of the greatest characters of Hungarian geophysics, the most cited publisher of his expertise. His name is attached to the acknowledgement of plate tectonics theory and to the geodynamic model of the Pannonian basin.
A geophysicist from the heart who was the supervisor of many PhD theses and was the inspiration for many geophysicist generations.
